SERVICES
Navigating Mental Health Together
My practice encompasses assessment and treatment of a wide range of clinical and sub-clinical conditions, features and characteristics. Sessions aim to provide comprehensive support for clients experiencing various mental health challenges and complex life circumstances across settings. Presentations may be simple, complex and comorbid. Structured clinical interviews and self-report scales are also used to assist clinical and client understanding.
The clinical relationship begins with a comprehensive assessment, to mutually determine a therapeutic fit, develop a case formulation and establish the client’s goals for treatment. Psychological treatment is a collaborative therapeutic relationship – built on rapport, openness, trust and respect, within a safe and supportive space.
Formulation involves developing a clinical understanding of the client’s presenting, predisposing, precipitating, perpetuating and protective factors, that can reinforce and maintain a person’s cognitive-emotional, interpersonal, somatic and behavioural difficulties.
Various evidenced-based treatment modalities are used clinically to help clients. Including, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, Trauma Informed Care, Exposure and Cognitive Reprocessing, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Reminiscence Therapy, Psych-education, Social and Emotional Learning, Positive Psychology, and Behaviour Modification.
